Has anyone had a member with forum hypochondria? Falsifying bugs with your software and claiming things arent working for them when they really are? Thought this was an interesting subject as it has happened to us :D

That's one I haven't heard. Makes you want to tell them to take the computer back to the store.

I'd find out for sure to make sure it's not something they are understanding. If that's not the case then limit their access and let them know they are on probation.

Oh he understands alright. He's claiming he can see such and such forums which he shouldnt be able to see. We have checked his usergroup by adding a new account and changing it to the same usergroup and we cant see these forums he is claiming to be able to see. He doesnt have any access masks etc either.

We asked for a screenshot but he said his "screenshot was blurry". :)

It actually sounds like a juvenille. So it's probably just a kid. At any rate I'd place him to moderate his post and let him know he's gotta shape up or ship out.

Sounds like a trolling trouble maker or a drama queen - or a combination of both. It's just somebody who wants your attention (and it seems to be working!).

    I'd take take Webmist's advice. :)

    Moved to Member Management.

For that I would wield my "Log in as User" rights and go see what he/she is talking about.

If their illness is fabricated, they might become even more "miserable".
