Here comes the anime-loving side of meh. <3~ Supposed to be sort of, SORT OF like a TV and anime around it or popping out of the word anime. OtakuShrine -Discontinued, the one who wanted the design told me they weren't going to make the site. SugoiCMS- A CMS system that is being made to work FOR MyBB and as a Standalone. My WIP Christmas Theme -It's all done by me, snowmans, tree, snow, etc. Aaand there ya go, I will post later on the ones I was making and I finished.
Have you ever looked into selling stuff on GraphicRiver.net, ActiveDen.net, ThemeForest.net, or anything on the Envato network? It's passive money. If you become a public author, your return for each sale is 25%, but if you become exclusive, meaning whatever you upload to them is only sold on there, you make 40% right off the bat. It rises the more sales volume you make. There's a guy who uploaded a CMS template just last week and he's already pocketed at least 2 grand if he's on a 40% market share. Some guy who made a flash and XML driven site has made roughly 10 grand on his share. I'm more than confident you would make a killing.
I have, but I don't know... I must admit my confidence is not as high as many people think, so I HAVE thought of selling on GraphicRiver, specially that SgAM one, but I thought and still think it's not good enough.
It's that first step that always kills your self-confidence because you have self-doubts. Finish it, let people who know what to look for review it, then submit it. With that said, do you know where I can find shapes for the font for social networking buttons? It's not any font available. I'm not an expert on typography, but I know it's not a font.
Depends, which social network. Some of them ARE fonts, like Facebook's it's Klavika's and Twitter's has a lot of really good ones out there like twitteru.
I also think you could make a killing! I know what it's like to have a low self-esteem with your designs. Tell me about it. But as I've said many times, you do excellent work! Take what you think is one of your best finished designs and give it a try selling it and see how you do.
Thanks, I think one of my best designs is my portfolio design. I'm VERY proud of that work. I can't sell that! But, I'm trying to see what I can come up with.
Twitteru is free, Klavika is paid. It's not hard to vector, when I had to make the Facebook font, before a client bought it for me, I vectored it, I think it's much better, if you want, I can create a shape out of the font of the F.
I'll give it a try later on this weekend. I mean, it can't be that hard. For the Gamer Skin, did is that banner all vector or did you do one side, rasterize it, then duplicate it, then transformed it horizontally and then combined both layers, or did you while it was still a vector make a copy of the point, paste it onto the same layer and then connected the points with the pen tool? I have to do it the latter way every time I want to mirror half of a vector so it's all symmetric.
I made the second option. I like to have flexibility with my stuff. I had so much trouble just trying to make them match a bit before, I have NO idea what to do with the actual forum, though... Thank you!
Yes, good to see another person suffers as much as I do. It's just so much easier instead of turning on the grid, which isn't always accurate, especially when making complex navigation buttons.
I like the christmas theme. The sky could do with a little more dark blue coming through though but still give the appearance that's it's nearing night time. Overall I like the whole header area and also liking the font. one thing with the snow though, add a little shadowing for that feeling of depth and place anchor points (if the snow is vector) so it's a little more smoother. Otherwise nice job FMB as always. Are you still working on the winter theme still?
