Please fix that DriveThru ad. It sits on top of the CometChat (which is also pretty annoying) and probably shouldn't, mostly because it makes it look like an unprofessional kiddie site. And as owners of a administrator forum, I'm sure you guys have the knowledge to fix it. Tip #4: Think "wmode=transparent" Thanks.
Exactly the same as me, I turned it off just before to see but nothing at all other than the sidebar ads. Edit, and the header one.
FMB has brought this up privately, and I intend to contact DTO to see if they can fix the code they've provided for the delivery of the ad.
Nick and Chris know which one, but to clarify for the rest of you, it's on the right-side ad bar, in rotation. It's a Flash ad for DTO or something like that. I usually turn ABP off for sites that I like, to help them out a bit by clicking the occasional ad or using an affiliate link.
I sent a PM to the owner of the ad. This is just one of those little things that really piss me off for some reason. I don't like Flash hovering over stuff if it isn't supposed to.
Based on the source code, it doesn't appear to be Flash/SWF. It's Javascript. The vBulletin Popup menus overlap the CometChat bar as well, by the way.
Nathan (gnatster) let me know about this issue. Can someone provide a link to where this is happening on the site? I'll take a look and see what is needed to resolve the issue with the banner. Sorry for the trouble! Best regards, Mark
I still have yet to see it in action :missingout: mferguson, it'll be on the forum index page here, and probably over on the right hand side is where most advertisements are.
As stated a few times, it's on the right-hand side of the main index. It's barely noticeable with no chats open, but when you're talking to someone, it sort of interferes with the chat area.
I don't think I'm seeing the same thing that others are. When I view the index page I see the following right-hand block of ads. View attachment awww.adminaddict.net_data_MetaMirrorCache_53aab6897e04022798e8728f293d8a34.png On each page load the ads are shown in a different order. In my case I'm using Firefox 3.5.3 on OS X. Are any of the other ads visible when you see this problem? Thanks! Mark
FMB: I didn't say that it didn't. Just that it's not as noticeable. mferguson: Let me grab a screenshot of what I see. I know the ads rotate, but your ad floats over the gray chat bar.
