Some sites that I have worked on using the FB connect have members with email addresses such as [email protected] or something along those lines. Are you sure that it does not create new members I have not used this addon myself yet but was thinking about taking the time to try it out. -Raymond
As far as the vB addon goes, I've seen it used to register on the site. You basically authenticate, change to a real email address, and you're all set to go. Next time you visit that site, using FB Connect automatically logs you in. I'm pretty sure existing members can change something in their profile options to allow authentication against ti too.
