I just left my teen-hood, and hate the whole bright-yet-boring look also. I mean, bright is OK, if you pull it off correctly. But the problem is, it currently isn't being done right. There's so much you can do that will make your quality content top-notch.
Way to bright. Its all about attracting members not making them want to close the forums down. If i was a teen looking for a forums to be apart of i would find somewhere else. Buddy it really does hurt your eyes looking at it. If i was you i would get rid of all your bright skins and tone them down to something thats more easy on the eye. Also it's not just about colour of a forums its also layout and where your eye is drawn to. Try and create some sort of focal point and nice eye catching colours and you'll soon have a great looking and feeling forums. Hope i helped. Wrams
Well...it doesn't hurt my heart anymore... Like the others said, if you are going to do crazy colors you better have an outstanding design to back it up. This is just very very plain and boring

Type into google MyBB skins and you will find plenty. Theres probably more skins for a MyBB than there is IPBoards forums. Just learn how to use google coz thats a main problem with most people they don't know how to find the best search results. I sometimes make nearly a sentence up in a search engine and 9/10 times come across what im looking for.
