So, when you see the impact Facebook and twitter are having on the internet the normal response is to create one for yourself and then for your site. However, do these pages actually work? How much exposure do you actually gain from using these 'services' of a sort?
I haven't used facebook myself for my forum so I couldn't say. But however I do use twitter and it does help bring in traffic. I think twitter is in my top 10 traffic sources.
How exactly do you handle promotion on Twitter? Do you just post updates and a link to them..or what? Ad I have never done this I would just like to know.
If you have the tweet (twitter)/like (facebook) buttons enabled on your forums, just press them on the threads you wish to promote
