Anyone here good with databases? We have a member on our site that could use some help. I am no good at databases so I cant help.
Thanks Terrorz, I hope someone can help. http://newtechhorizon.com/nthforum/...-databases-aka-help/page__pid__2683#entry2683
I gave him all my knowedge of DB's What I do know is some dont play well together on the same server and migrating is no fun. I think he is going to have to make a choice which one of the 2 he wants to use and try to import the data from the other.
Actually, I did merge two together...took about a week for me to figure it out and I must have tried every SQL software out there. Microsoft Excel worked best but you have to export it back to SQL cause something about the newer versions of Excel futz the csv up and you can't reimport. I would help but I really don't have time but just know it can be done if you are patient and do not work with your original copies of the SQL files.
Sorry it doesn't appear he is referring to SQL databases so I can't help, but tell him good luck for me, I hope he figures it out.
