    Copyright Skins

Ive made about 4 colour variations for vB4 including orange, black, blue and red and the black (and old blue version) really hit of, now ive seen some of the sites using the templates have removed the copyright notice im just wondering, i know their not the best of themes out there but, is there anything i can do?

EDIT: and also noticed over the past view days a vb site, which i wont name or link to, has been offering these templates for download on their own website which are basically just straight downloaded from vB.org and posted there, they also do illegal vbulletin....

I would have made sure to expressly write that copyright removals are not allowed within your thread most likely. I am unsure if you can do anything to be honest.

I hate to sound like a dick here, but if you've done nothing more than changing colors what exactly are you copyrighting?

BTW: You have done a nice job with the recoloring of them though ;)

There isn't much you can do short of contacting their host.
We had this happen all the time with our vBulletin skins.

I'd follow Brandon's advice and notify their host. If they're hosting themselves, find out what datacenter they're renting from.

Not to be spoil sport, but you'll probably have to live with that. That site has probably been reported so many times.

I'd post a note on the thread at vb.org that the themes are only licensed to be released where you say and that support is only available through vb.

theres nuthing you can do about the skins...i wanna say that the illegal vb should be reported to that dude on vb.com..he seems to take that stuff pretty seriously.

I cant remember his name off the top of my head, but u should at least let Wayne L. know the link...I bet u he can shut them down...and then you wouldnt have to worry about your skins being uses!

I know that their only colour changes but im working on one that isnt and attempting to design a vB4 skin around this future HTML template: Design247 | StudioStyle

Thanks for the suggestions anyway, thanks..

Just part of life on the internet. Everything posted at vb.org ends up on warez sites. Even legit members there will remove your copyright...if you don't want that to happen, don't post your work for free ;)

Isn't there a way to encode it so they can't remove it?
