One of my client's site was having PR3 before this last PR update.At that time it was hosted in US Server.Now its in UK server.But the PR seems to be PR0 ? Does host affects pr?
well i don't think so...i think PR will be updated soon.... moreover the PR is given to domain name not the name server or the host.... Correct me if i am wrong....
Location of the site doesnt affect PR as far as i am aware, maybe an email to google would clear this up. The only way I can think it would affect page rank is if the server is used for illegal activity such as spamming but even then im not too sure. As far as I knew page rank was based mainly on links in to the site.
it doesn't really matter if you change the host name whats important is that you did not change the domain name... if you get PR 0 then you site doesn't fit for the new updates to get high PR
i don't think so. As per my knowledge I have there will not be any effect on PR while changing the host.
we have changed hosting companies for some of our domains and didn't see any change on them, so i don't think its the hosting company for the domain...
well come to think of it... its still possible since we dont know whether google needs the IP of the site or not... if they do then it surely changed the PR of the site.. since they make it one of the requirements..
it shouldn't since the site is hosted on shared or could be on a dedicated IP, which in any case it could be changed by the host and not know it...
I think it depends on many factors, your pr might be affected via yournew host's IP address, whether it is a shared or dedicated IP and wheter the ip has been blocked previously and really you can't be guaranteed anything after a change of host, but for the most part you shouldn't be affected if you do the correct migration smoothly.
