Better Page Rank?

Hey

I'm looking to better my page rank does anybody have any tips for me?

I have tried almost everything but it's stuck on 0 at the moment.

I guess it's lack of members etc?

While you need to hire posters maybe, then once you get your post count up.. You may get a better PR.. Other things I have read include getting more backlinks, so you sometimes need money to back your site.

Also, upgrading to the latest version of SMF is always a good thing even if its a beta!

 

The number one thing to do that will definitely help you in increasing your page rank is building backlinks, so before you think of doing anything else start with building one-way links to your site.
Don't focus on just building backlinks for the sake of building backlinks though, focus on building quality one-way links.
It's always quality over quantity.

 

I'm not sure how to increase this. I have a site i've been running now since Aug 2005 - and i'm still only a PR3 on that site I think.
I'm doing this for fun rather than money though, so yeah...

Definitely work on building quality backlinks. This could greatly increase your Page Rank.

And remember that content is always key. Keep it coming.

 

What type of backlinks are the best? Like, the .gov and .edu .. Are they actually really powerful?

 

.gov and .edu are Top level domains not backlinks.

Backlinks are essentially links that lead to your site.

I know they are TLD.. I mean is it better to have a link on a www.blahblah.com or a www.blahblah.edu or www.blahblah.gov

Thats what I wanted to know..

I know what a TLD is and I know .edu and.govs are..!

 

A .com domain is the same as a .edu/.gov as far as backlinks go.
