I have five pet parrots and I discovered today that Kneel has one too... So it got me wondering if any of our other members have a pet bird too? I used to have an Amazon Blue Front Parrot just after High School. Many of my roommates didn't like him because he would torment the dog... Repeatedly say "Here doggy, doggy, doggy" in my mother's voice. Then when the dog would run up and look at him, he would yell "Go Lay Down" in my father's gruff voice. Bird would do that for hours. I ended up giving him to my parents and they sold him eventually. Before that we had cockatiels, a yellow crested cockatoo and a Myna Bird for a while
My mother has an African Grey (a Congo, just like Alex was) (amongst several other pet parrots), and she is wonderful. She has quite the temper, but learns anything that is said regularly around her. She mimics everything, and her vocabulary is astonishing! Alex was so great to watch; it's a shame that he had to pass so suddenly.
