Do you make an announcement on the forum when you "hire" new staff members? What are your members' usual reactions?

UGH, I hate doing this on Pisoga.

users on Pisoga ALWAYS complain when I have a new staff member, saying that I am biased, friendship wise.

I've always announced new additions to the staff team - it's an excellent way of showing not only your appreciation towards the individual(s) involved, but allowing the community to share their thoughts, as well.

Ugh, I've never had that problem!

If I get an new staff member I do announce it so people know but not until the new staff member has the right permissions and is in right usergroup.

I always announce new staff members. All the members are usually happy for them.

Yep. Every staff member gets their own "congratulatory" thread in the announcements forum.

Usually the members are quite content with "one of their own" ascending the ladder.

I usually announce it beforehand, but last time the members were too fast for me and had already posted "Is she a moderator now?" "Congratulations!" Etc.

I make an announcement. The members usually congratulate the moderator(s).
