Other than AdWords where you have no say in who advertises on your site except to filter them out, are there any sites where you can find private advertisers? Sort of like a Marketplace for ads :) Does anything like that exist?

Once your site gets big enough, people will be contacting you. Keep building and keep promoting, and one day you will not have to worry about finding advertisers.

It doesn't even have to be big. We haven't done a thing to market our advertising here and we've sold 3 of 4 advertising slots, some of which are booked until the end of the year. Everybody has come to us.

Anyways, as an alternative there is always Online Advertising | BuySellAds.com

With Google AdSense, you are merely placing advertisements (of sites that pay for Google AdWords) on your site and earning revenue for each click by visitors.

Ohh... xD I knew that [not really]. So basically adsense depends on the links people click on? Kind of... bad since I am one of those who don't click.

Yes, it depends on visitor clicks (you can't click your own ads or you get banned, and you can't entice visitors to click your ads). There is an art to placing ads in unique locations where the human eyes aren't trained to avoid (we all know to ignore big flashy banners in headers, for example) and you can get results. A lot of sites' revenue is mostly from AdSense.

So basically is just a tactic and knowing your site, no? If so, it's easier than I tought.

It's not difficult at all. Just set it and let it run wild. Just be sure to follow their strict policies and guidelines. :)
