You can choose if you want it to show how many active members there is in your statistic do you have that turned on or off? Also would be fun to know the reason. If you don't know what I mean then this is what I mean. Threads: X, Posts: X, Members: X, Active Members: X
No, I have that turned off; the only person who needs to know that information is me. I wish they had kept that just for the admin panel.
I turn it off, no one needs to know that information but me, and i found it was hampering my websites membership drive - people would look and see only about half of the registered users were active and wouldn't sign up however registrations have increased since i took it off.
Honestly I think that information should only be in the admin cp panel, but right there on the index page when you load it up. I do want to know, I just don't want the prospective members to know.
I've always kept it off. They're only "active" to what you set it to, anyway. So if you want it to look like you have a lot, you can set it to show all members that visited in the last 2 years... on a 2 year old forum. It's cheap and not needed to be seen by anyone but you.
I have that feature turned on. Mainly because forum savvy people, that is one of the first things they look at. Before a lot of people register, they want to know how many post and members a forum has.
