    I know that, I just find it weird that the QR shows, as I would have thought they could have hidden it and placed a link for staff to reply & unlock the thread or something like other forum software

    Well staff are suppose to be able to reply to closed threads, its just they have to be careful as locked threads have that icon next to it. Its needed for example updating locked announcements/rules etc.

    Either way, other forum software show a locked post reply button, yet Xenforo does not, as it shows the QR like normal
