    Yes.

No, not a member there. Never been a fan of these sites for women thing. They talk about stuff that really doesn't interest me :D

What is stopping somebody from creating a twitter account and passing themselves off as a woman asking to join.

That is something I wondered too. And why just Twitter anyway?

Don't know, it's not like they can even validate "for sure" you are a woman on twitter. What they going to check, your past tweets to indicate you are a woman, not let you in if a new twitter account just started?

I'm almost tempted to register out of curiosity . . . almost.

Oh what the hell.. I've shouted out on twitter for an invite. I don't like unanswered questions.

Bit of a novel idea really, it's certainly stirring some interest around the web because it's a woman only site.

    Might start: womannotallowedin.com.

So what is it 007, a general discussion site?

Was thinking though, the domain they use must be be worth a bit. woman.com, not a domain you'd expect would have been available to get your hands on. Probably not within first year .com got used.

It looks like a blog with its layout - you have the main post and then people comment beneath it. It's actually boring as hell - in my opinion. Pick up any woman's magazine in a supermarket, turn to the letters pages and you have this site. Posts like "Which coffee maker should I buy" *yawn* and some more sexual related ones, but nothing you wouldn't see in a market purchasable magazine.

Can you post some screenshots when you get a chance? (You can blur out any information that might be personal).

Well, taking into account the domain they use (how hard it would be to get that) as a .com. It sounds a little like manufactured site to me. Not a site Joe Blog started as a novel idea, but bigger people behind it. I'm betting they use some-kind of custom software you've never heard off before.

Did you read the Techcrunch article? It explains who is behind it...

Checking the TOS, I think it's okay for me to do that.

There you go... and that really is about as exciting as the site gets.

Have now, started by two people and see the domain was purchased for a 7 figure sum.

Kind of looks like Yahoo Answers for women...
