My new forum its running Wordpress + Xenforo and Xenforo bridge!

Explore Downriver is my new forum, its a local community about Downriver Michigan. It's running Wordpress on the front end and its running Xenforo and Xenforo bridge on the back end. It's brand new and there is not a lot of content yet. But I have a 3 year plan for this website. Hopefully it takes off.

it's just a temporary skin until I can get more money. I have already spent at least $300 on the website. I need to buy a new digital camera before I can buy a skin. I am running out of pictures for the blog.

What exactly does the bridge do?

The bridge makes wordpress and Xenforo communicate. So if some one signs up to the forum or wordpress they are a member on both wordpress and Xenforo. Users are handled by Xenforo. And if I make a post on the blog it leaves a link to the forum and it makes a post with a snip-it of the information in the forum with a link leading to the blog. Some wordpress plugins dint work with it and 1 Xenforo plugin didn't work with it.

Well $180 later and I have my skin and wordpress pluging's, crappy part is the website now has $140 of subscriptions per year!

Mobile theme looks good only problem is that you cant switch to desktop view.

 

looks pretty swell i found myself looking over it for a bit after my first glance makes me wanna visit id have to say.

 

Its because I have desktop view disabled for mobile view. I can turn it on, do you think I should turn it on?

Yes because iPad is seen as mobile device and it can also show the desktop version.

 

I have enabled desktop view on the mobile website.

I just spent 15 hours updating my website yesterday because wordpress and Xenforo never wanted to play nice with each other. So I dropped wordpress and bought brogans portal and converted wordpress posts into xenforo posts and then I converted the wordpress photo gallery to and xenforo gallery and set up redirects . It was a pain in the rear end it the end result was well worth it. Have a look and let me know what you think.

Looks nice even better the the Wordpress site. Did you use http://xenforo.com/community/resources/xen-media-gallery-media-gallery-for-xenforo.1750/ for the gallery. I am going to think about it going the same way as you did.
