Who dragged vBulletin into the thread completely pointlessly to create drama? Oh that'd be YOU.

The trouble you've got is that you clearly intimidate some people with your ludicrously over-aggressive attitude. Well, you don't frighten me. Do carry on. It just makes me larf that you seem to get worked up into such a state that you start peppering your posts with insults and swearing. I can't for the life of me work out why you seem to think it's clever.

Must admit, two posts of Bama have caught my eye also using the F word, which there's really no need for on a public forum. Not often I'll side with Mark, but you do strike me also as being too eat up, way too aggressive in your posts.

I dragged vBulletin into this with one comment and then you have taken it into your own little direction you wanted it to go. Its now about you. Congrats.

If this is true I applaud your morality. However, your conduct as support staff on another forum would suggest the opposite. Latest example would be where a customer was having a discussion with Wayne and after many posts you interjected without reading or understanding the previous posts accusing the OP of an alleged abuse that wasn't valid and implied a threat to have him banned from posting in that area. Now it seems to me Wayne had the situation well in control and was handling the OP's issue with tact and constructive responses, so why did you get involved to provoke and aggravate the thread in a negative manner?
Both you and another support staff engaged in this "mob rule" tactic frequently on this other forum. You both interject comments in a discussion or questions not asked of you, and cluster [****][****][****][****] the discussion.
And again in this thread. As in many others on this forum, you make uncalled for comments designed to provoke negative responses from others and draw attention and the discussion to you away from the OP's original content.
So please explain further how it is you say you are sick of mob rule yet engage in this activity in just about every thread you post in?

The job has gone to his head, he's some power trip hippy now. I bet his head is 3 sizes what it was before he became vB staff. Mr Mark.B "balloon head", throwing his weight around.. and he's not even by the sounds of it reading all threads proper before "opening his mouth", he's that eager to jump in and have his say with people. Look at me, Mr Important!

Think this job would better suit Mark, he can't do much wrong....

Back on topic - If those offenses actually took place they are criminal acts and are subject to charges. You can't just threaten someone, stock them and hack their bank accounts without being culpable.
If that happened on any of my forums, I would have identified the perps and banned them, and soft deleted the posts of those people so as not to remove evidence. Then I would have reported them to the proper authorities.
But I would not have removed all the valuable assets and started over. Just clean house and carry on.

Some serious comments here. I am not a betting guy but It could be a "sure thing" to say that Mark B will not answer all these valid questions. Past activities have shown him to be scared to death of actually discussing comments that do not show him in the "super hero" class.

Heavens to Betsy! he is actually being asked to apologize for his defamatory statements! This is not in his plan at all. Notice how many of his compatriots all do the same. Despite massive proof of their wrong doing there is nere a hint of remorse nor apologies. This shows the true character of these people. Sorry Mark B, you fall far short of what a decent and responsible person is.

You talk big about how a decent person would act whilst doing the opposite yourself. It would be interesting to see what your true agenda is, as your actions are most definitely not in the interest of VB/IB.
One can speculate what you are up to and the implications do not place you in a good light. What are you up to Mark B?

I deleted my entire database (not just the forum) about a year ago and almost died. Kinda the same, right? (hah)

That definitely was not a good day... and ending up having to roll back to a 2 week old backup.

    https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/catastrophic-cluster-failure.2658391/

MUCH better backups now... full backups done nightly, with every day in the last week retained as well as every one in the first of the month for the last year.

Was totally my own fault... was tired and spaced out and started ndbd (storage engine for MySQL Cluster) with the "--initial" flag. I guarantee I'll not forget that means flush everything out and start it as an initial instance. haha

To be fair, I still think they should probably throw a confirmation prompt or something for idiots like me that did it accidentally. :)
