Did anyone heard about Solve Media http://solvemedia.com/

They recently contacted us to get on board as publisher. They have nice companies listed as reference and have a very interesting product that can generate additional income to boards.

I never heard about them before that's why kind of hesitant to use it or not

Would love to hear your opinion about it.

A search of one of their their banners goes to.

    https://www.google.com.au/?gws_rd=cr&ei=rylaUqbDBIemkQWnloCQCA#q=http://www.evangelismteam.com

It seems that they are somehow connected, why the difference in names?

Another one of their banners goes to:

    http://www.wayofthemaster.com/

It wouold be smart to do a full Google search. And check for the ownership and history of all the sites involved.
Keep clicking on their different banners and see what shows.

The office phone 682 · 841 · 2134 appears to go to Fort worth Texas.

The Fax number 775 · 490 · 4893 appears to go to Beatty Nevada. Why the difference in location?

The website shows : Domain 1st Registered1997-11-28 (16 years ago) but the site is under construction? It shows clean for malware but it seems to be a new site.

The contact us section has no results so the question is, if anything goes wrong where do you go and bang on a desk to get some action?

I was contacted by them too. They offer some kind of spam protection ad service. I am not sure how it works as I didn't look too far into it. From what I did see it looks like the company is ok. It's doesn't look like a scam.

It seems that they offer a service to change a captcha into an advert. The poster types in a response to the advert instead of a captcha. It seems like a good money making system, but what is to stop a human spammer from typing in the same information thereby bypassing it?

Solve Media's CAPTCHA service is now available as a Xenforo add-on it seems.

I have no personal experience of it so you will need to check it out.

I've seen Solve Media's captcha used on other websites. It is just another captcha like ReCaptcha or KeyCaptcha. Instead of putting a puzzle together or reading a messed up word, they show you an advertisement (small video usually) and during the video it tells you what to enter for the captcha- usually it's a slogan or something from the video.

Last one I saw was the other day, it was a commercial for Dish Network I believe the and the captcha was something like "Dish Wins" or the like. It was some sort of sports-related ad.

Personally it feels cheap to me- I'm not sure however if it is more annoying to watch an ad or solve a ReCaptcha though.

I can't imagine the revenue is all that much unless you've got thousands a day.

You use XenForo right? Well it already comes with StopForumSpam, QA, and DNSBL using spamhaus.org. It's actually pretty good now for anti-spam measures out the box, unless you use an old XF version? Don't get why you'd be looking at another in Solve Media, not needed.

Don't like that solve media if it's what I think it is and used by ProBoards. You get an advert displayed that you sometimes have to wait until finished before question loads.
