I'd say there is no anti-vB agenda. There is no intention to hurt vBulletin or even IB on my part. I can't speak for anyone else. But for sure, I'd bet if IB started doing things right and how they should be, you'd have a lot of these hard-core critics going "finally" and will probably applaud the changes and root for more, including me. Why? Because we put in so much effort to point out our pain and the issues blaring for correction.

The sad thing about all this? It looks like nothing can persuade IB management to do anything different. The last farce and the same stupid mistake done once again is presented on a lead platter with vBCloud. It is an unfinished, no way it was tested properly, no way customers were asked for what they'd like to have (with such a big marketing lie added on top) absolutely poor quality piece of crapola pie.

IB are the ones causing the issues. The customers only mirror them. It isn't hate. It isn't trying to punish. It is simply IB reaping exactly what they sow. It is the crapola pie back in their face.

Why would we want to hurt vBulletin they are doing a great job them self's. I almost sold all my licenses and going to continue with IPB in the mean time i will sit back and read forums to see vBulletin killing the're own brand and company, i will enjoy myself immensely for the free entertainment.

Its his way of explaining why not many people like vBulletin software. Rather than face the truth, instead he comes out with this excuse for it. Head buried in sand...

I totally agreed. How convenient for those who have a vested interest in Vb to blame the customers for airing their legitimate grievances as the cause for the VB unrest.

On the good ship VBTitanic the passengers are being blamed for sailing the doomed ship into dangerous waters.

I think what angers people is that vBulletin trouts around acting like vBulletin 5 is a solid product and was released as so. I also think what angers people is that vBulletin is charging over $200 for a product that is nowhere near production ready for a small board let alone a large board even though it's been out for how many years/months?
I think what angers people the most is the pompous attitude by the management of vBulletin. This use to be limited to those in charge but has infected even the devs this last year into believing they are actually working on a solid product.

If you don't like the price- don't buy it! This is exactly my point- you're upset anyone is even trying to make VB5 a good solid product. You won't be happy until VB5 is abandoned. Well too bad- that's not happening anytime soon.

Another case of you twisting someone elses reality into your warped delusional fantasy.

See that's where you're wrong, I really don't care what happens with vBulletin 5. ;) I've moved on to much better software for starting a forum. What does get me, and I have a feeling others in the community, is how those getting paid by vBulletin keep suckering in those less informed into thinking they are buying a superior product.
Even if it was $50 free, vBulletin 5 wouldn't be worth the time and energy that it would take to start a forum with it in my opinion.

Trust me. We're not buying it.
No, we're not upset anyone is trying to make vB5 a good solid product. We're upset that it's being sold at a premium price for a sub-par lump of donkey ejaculate.

I take it by "Those getting paid by vBulletin" you mean me, perhaps Mark... Do you see either of us trying to sucker anyone in? Do you have a single post where I have tried to get someone to buy VB5 without trying it for themselves first? No- I know you can't because none exist- this is another case of someone making up facts to fit a story they made up in their heads that simply has no basis in reality.

I was talking about everyone at vBulletin who praises vBulletin 5.
There is nothing there to be proud of anymore in my opinion. ;)

I like how you read what you want to read.. ok, a few facts.
    • vBulletin 5 is not suited for large forums
    • vBulletin 5 was "released" unfinished
    • vBulletin 5 is still sub-par for a forum framework
    • The 3rd party vBulletin 5 developers and designers are nonexistent
    • vBulletin 5 admins where tasked with documenting & updating support tickets that Q/A should have taken care of
    • Management as well as most staff don't think there is anything wrong with vBulletin 5
    • vBulletin 5 is built on decade old code
    • Activity on vBulletin.com has make a dramatic downhill movement since vBulletin 5
    • The majority of vBulletin 5 forums are ran by brand new admins
    • The majority of senior vBulletin owners have left because of the disaster that is vBulletin 5 & was vBulletin 4
    • The per-release team for both vBulletin 4 & vBulletin 5 brought many of these concerns up that we're still talking about today, yet those in charge did nothing about it.
There are many more facts I could post but they'll go unnoticed by those who could actually make a difference so why bother.

Think you've summed it up well Brandon. Curious what BirdOPray will say to those things listed.
