It is possible. As they are usually very busy indeed I only ask for help when it is really needed.

 

I can't remember where I read it, but someone posted Paul M's description about the attack and it sounded like they had a good idea where the weak point was.

I believe you are thinking about how they cracked the mysql username and password they used, not how they initially hacked the stage server.

A very interesting thread on TAZ. Where BirdOPrey5 as a staff member of Vb tries to twist things and post crap trying to defend the rubbish flowing from the Vb staff. He says=

I find it absolutely amazing that the VB staff just cannot get the message that their customers are the ones that should be looked after, instead they treat them like dirt.

Last time I looked an employee is defined as a representative of his/her employer. All that they do and say in private and public is a reflection on the reputation of said employer. Ask anyone who has made seemingly innocent comments on line or verbally that were viewed as derogatory towards the employer and were summarily handed their pink slip. He's not really a person, just a figment of our over active imagination?
