I usually hate when companies resort to lawyers, but in this case I think Joe really did go full retard and needed to be told to STFU.

Yes, Topify accused us of being associated with the website http://stoptopify.org/, and sent a cease & desist.

The ownership dispute with vBSEO is not directly related.

The infrequency of updates here is justified by the extensive, repetitive, non-objective (for the most part), low value trolling by a small group of people here who a known for such activity. There's no need to continually repeat stuff already said for the benefit of those whose goal is antagonism, rather than objective evaluation.

To the benefit of anyone actually concerned, there's been a wealth of info shared, and I'm sure there will be more later as more significant updates arise.

For now, it's as you might expect. No response from Juan Muriente, of course.

There were other discussions at TAZ regarding Topify biz practices initiated by other community members, and where I also contributed asking questions about the relationship between vBSEO/Crawlability/Juan Muriente and Topify.

It was legitimate discussion. Although they never acknowledged any formal business relationship, Topify apparently was renamed from "Fanversation", a project developed almost certainly with Crawlability resources and apparently acquired. You can do your research with Delaware corporate registry.

 

But that is about Topity, what about Vbseo? Is it just gone stay like that with vbseo being controlled by Juan and he is not doing anything about it. Many forums are affected by this, he needs to take responsibility. Either sell it and let another company to continue the work, or try to work out a deal with you guys so the ones who are interested into it, can keep developing it. One or the other.

They can't accuse you if they have no prove, they need the ownership of that domain and who owns it to send a cease and desist, unless they are telling you to completely refrain from talking about this subject online and anywhere.

Juan is simply irresponsible. IF he had any type of plan that dealt with customer concerns or the ongoing operations of the company, he should have spoken out.

Hence, the reason such a thread like this exists in the first place. If things had been addressed, there would be no need for a community to have to dig for basic answers about what's going on.

 

Except that, it wasn't a community, it was just you and your wife who brought all this drama, seemingly for your own personal gain.

 

Joey - you're one of the low value, biased, antagonists I mentioned. Sorry, but... #theresaspade. If you stay loyal and obedient to the Chicago boys you might get a free ticket to a car show. Great work doing your best to distort or misdirect. Nobody falls for your nonsense, but you do successfully lower the signal to noise ratio. Every time we respond, we indulge you. I registered solely for this message as it seems to be quite freaking true. Everywhere there's a joeychgo post, you're sure to find highly biased B.S in the contents. This, of course, is my personal opinion from what I've seen him post on various sites.
