Good grief, what a list! Thanks for this. It will take some time to look over this. I wonder how up-to-date it is. Things change so fast on the internet. I'm sure I'll find plenty to bookmark, though. Edit: the Free Layouts link is no longer good.
Wow, that is an impressive list right there I tell you. I'm sure it's worth a couple thousand dollars. Thanks for the share.
This is...............huge and epic compilation. Props to you for taking your precious time out for trying to help us out. I am gonna have to bookmark this page
I wish they start putting some new resources and articles soon. Thinks have slowed down a bit here lately.
Thanks so much for this! Bookmarking it. Really useful post. Don't have to Google a lot when I know I want a tutorial next haha!
The best hosting and the best support I've ever had - A Small Orange: Homegrown Hosting. I tried several other hosts previously and, one way or another, they all sucked. Either they oversold their hosting (shared and VPS) or they overcharged or, most importantly, their tech support sucked. I have never, ever had support as superb as what I get from ASO - competent, prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. Let's face it: No matter who you host your sites with, sooner or later you are going to need tech support. Even when it's my fault (and to be honest, as an inveterate tweaker, it usually is my fault when something goes wrong), they have always come through for me. I have evolved from shared to VPS to dedicated hosting and ASO has never disappointed. And by the way, I've had websites requiring hosting since the early 1990s so this isn't based on a few years or months. They may not be the cheapest but the cheapest is often far from the best. I can't say enough good things about ASO. If you are getting to the point of beinh fed up with your current hosting, give them a try.
WOW! I was missing this impressive tools and resources list! But now that Djbaxter mentions this, I remember A Small Orange being regarded as one of the best hosting services back in... 2005-2006? I'm not sure, but I remember to have read many positive reviews about their services in a time when my budget was very tight to host with them. Later I didn't longer hear about them. However I'm seeing that maybe they stopped advertising as much as they used to do in the past, and being a long-running company, chances to get a good hosting service are evident.
