At this point guys, I'd suggest resolving this with Judge Judy.

    Thread summary:
Person A wants to buy the company.
Person B doesn't want to have anything to do with person A.
Person B has leverage, reason why Person A is unable to take over the company.
Person A makes a thread trying to gain person B attention.
Person B probably is checking out this thread as we speak but will not reply.
Person B probably thinks it may be bad for them to try to explain this hot mess.

@Mary Jay, you been spamming the same thing for the last 3 pages...

I can't speak for anyone else but i did my best to save vBSEO even more then best. Brian mentioned about a buyout option Juan didn't accept. What Brian didn't mentioned is i pursued that option even longer. Though after a point my new career forced me out of vBSEO .

vBSEO needs complete rewrite , it needs to be adjusted to todays seo requirements and honestly SEO changed a lot since the early days of vBSEO. I actually don't see benefit of using vBSEO anymore for new websites. For existing websites it is critical though most of those boards needs to be converted to IPB or Xenforo in close future as vBulletin also died long ago.

This is the main reason why this thread needs to be locked. People are wasting their time on a dead project.

Best thing Juan can do is close Purchase Page and turn vBSEO into an open project so license owners can still take advantage if the system until they switch to an alternative. Will he do that ? I have no idea , i've been chasing him to do so over years now and he never listened. it is his own company and reputation.

Her goal was to inform about the true status of the company but she didn't answer the question after several requests for proof to show Juan requested her approval to sell the company which helps her backs up her claim that she is co-owner.

She promised transparency but failed to answer the question for proof to to show Juan requested her approval to sell the company which helps her back up her co-ownership claim.

Is her #1 goal to inform customers when she can't even honestly answer the question with proof that Juan requested approval to sell the company?

Please lock this thread. Her goal is no longer to inform customers.

What kind of question is this? Just because she doesn't support your stance here. To be honest, I'm surprised to see any supportive posts for Ilia in this thread. This person sent an email representing VBSEO, titled "VBSEO is Suspending Operation". She has no business making such a statement without VBSEO's permission.

I'm a vBSEO co-founder. My partner disappeared from his duties and joined another company. I don't need authorization to contact my customers with very important information concerning them.

A support team member hinted that an official announcement could be made at vbseo. He did not specify when.

My emails to the current CEO have gone unanswered.

Thank you, Brandon. There's really no call for closing it anyway. It's a valid discussion with both support and criticism, of interest to the community. I think the thread will close itself, effectively, when people are no longer interested in the topic. For now, this is not the case.

A reasonable question given the repeated questions and rushed suggestion to close down further suggestion. However, I respect your anonymity.

Agree. Closing down the buy page right away is the responsible thing to do, given his intention to close the company.

You might be right about the Judge Judy, thing, but your summary isn't fully accurate.

If I'm being identified as person A, I already own the company. I don't intend to buy it.

The rest of your points seem reasonably accurate if leverage = passwords/accounts.

I must also let customers know the status of the company. I started by telling you all that I didn't think it would be announced timely. There has yet to be any announcement even after this thread.

Sorry, but I've demonstrated with evidence that the current CEO has said he is closing the company. That, of course, pertains directly to the fate of the company. If it's not disclosed our customers are left very frustrated and unattended as they have been, and new customers pay purchase under false pretenses of a viable company that will be around to provide support.

That was the precursor. There were issues prior, but not ones that we didn't work around.

However, Juan investing Crawlability Inc. resources into multiple projects (and not disclosing them) while falling behind on the development schedule for vBSEO lead to the confrontations. A staff member aware of the Tweetboard project disclosed it by accident (presumably) during a screen sharing meeting.

That's fair. Ultimate fate and current status.

FYI, the purchase page is closed now except for those who want to extend their support to download newer versions of vBSEO or to submit support tickets.

This was announced only as a reply to a thread where customers are discussing a lawsuit.

There was no formal announcement. Whatever changes we done, were done quietly.

The staff comment indicates he still intends to accepting money for renewals, with all other purchase types turned off.

I hope this is not a situation of seeing how many people we can get to upgrade before we shut things down.

You are beginning to sound more than a little churlish, Ilia.
    1. You've been attacking vBSEO for accepting new purchases.
    2. You've been stating that allowing this is in effect fraudulent.
    3. New purchases now are disabled.
And yet you're still complaining? This was an announcement by Andres who is an employee of vBSEO. How is this not official?

If I'm not mistaken, you need to have an active account to submit a support ticket. Accepting renewals means that customers whose accounts have lapsed can still get support. Andres is still processing support tickets. So what exactly is your complaint about that?

That doesn't even make sense. Upgrade to what? There are no new versions since 3.6.1 last November or thereabouts. You previously urged me to post my comment about downloading the latest versions and/or the version a customer is using just in case the product and website does get shut down. I decided to follow through on your suggestion. For some people, that would not be possible if they weren't allowed to renew.

You are beginning to sound like someone who is going to continue to carp away no matter what vBSEO does,

I got a popup saying I didn't have enough posts or enough time since registration. It wouldn't even allow me to include your link in quoting you.
