Have you ever paid for content?

The only kind of content I paid for were posts. I used to be on a site that let people sell their own posting packages. They didn't cost much, so the results were, as expected, mediocre. There were very few writers who really were into my site and didn't just go post on introductions or offtopic forums. But those are very rare and obviously charge some more for each post.

May I ask if that site is still active? Would you mind hitting me a pm? I'm kind of interested on working on that forum. I could still use the extra cash for my online ventures.

How many posts did you end up purchasing, and from what posting site?

I think it was Forumpromotion. I bought packages with their forum coins and also with real money. It was never more than 50 posts. They weren't really worth it. Most of the posters were webmasters who just posted in the offtopic section. But, in their defense, I was paying like $0.05 a post.

Still. If they're being paid to post, they shouldn't be posting only in the OT areas. That defeats the point of buying posts at all.

I've paid in the beginning several people to post on my forums but not any more. Now I just do exchanges.

0.05 a post is not bad if you ask me. I used to be a member of a ptp forum before that paid 0.01 per post. I left after quite sometime because I felt that the pay isn't worth it. However, I may return if I see that the community grew because I'm also interested with the niche of the forum.

I've used my points on ForumPromotion for posting packages and the quality of posts were bullcrap. I think @bauss probably had the same experience. I'd rather do a few posting exchanges than use my points on that site for packages from users/staff.

Posting exchanges didn't really work for me either. I did my best posting on some other guy's forum and they went on mine and posted on offtopic sections and basically added nothing new to the forum. I gave up on them after that bad experience.
