XenForo is only at 1.2 so I would not expect 2.0 anytime soon. Not unless KAM decide to do a html5/jQuery2 rewrite. We will probably see 1.2 in the coming months and 1.3 in this year. But that's merely speculation.
Well.. I'm looking forward to the updates, especially user management. Reporting Improvements Assorted Small Things Template Modifications and Comparison Route Filters Post Edit History and Logging User Management Improvements <------- this is a big one for me
XenForo does not need to be completely rewritten, but a substantial amount of code needs to be adapted to jQuery1.9/2.0 and HTML 5. At least more than you would expect from a point release.

Why would that be an indication? I would be a little surprised if they release 1.2 without thread tags, as 1.2 seems to be aimed to introduce functionality that allows vb webmasters to migrate.
This has happened before. xenForo went radio silent for a week or two before releasing the update. First they post a series of "Have You Seen" posts for a while until they stop, and go silent... until kaboom, they release it. This silence is telling...
I think 1.2 is just around the corner, I contacted Mike asking if I could be on the beta team and he made it sound like the beta download will be available for the public. (not recommended for live sites) The list of additions will literally cut my plugins in half, this is great news.

Right now the place is jammed with admins trying to break 1.2. There are many bugs but nothing major so far. I suspect Mike is working overtime this week.
Looking forward to it Although they say the Beta shouldn't be used on a live site, how stable do you think it'll be and how many people do you think will run it on a live site?
