Congratulations on reaching 100k posts. Have you ever ran some contests?

 

People are so hung up on numbers instead of quality that I took a different approach, I removed the member stats completely.

The only stats people can see is the number of posts each member has made, it works. I find that new visitors are more likely to post too since if they can't first check stats they tend to assume the forum is busy if it has posts made recently.

 

I do have a member of the month contest which is pretty popular. One of my sponsors sends the winner a $15 gift certificate, and some of my other sponsors are coming up with things to do.

I'm considering running a referrals contest as well.

This month is really kicking butt for my site, we're setting posts per day records and coming close on member visits per day, and I'm getting an unexpectedly high number of new registrations.

All of this and my forum is pretty seasonal. And the season hasn't even started.

We did close to 10k posts for the month. That reminds me, I need to contact some sponsors and get some new things out. I'm glad your forum is doing well this month as well. Cheers to having a good year and some records numbers!

The new game release has been going well for you guys huh?

 

Yeap! It's not just the game, it's also the map packs that are coming out. And that ain't scratching the surface, either. A new Call of Duty title is coming out. Rumored to be MW4. Blog domain already reserved, forum already created. Now all I have to do is take this to the next level!
