Hey everyone at Admin Talk, I’ve been getting back into affiliate marketing lately and a thought crossed my mind. One way to help build traffic and user enjoyment is to allow you guys to make affiliate post. (Currently against the rules - forum wide) I don’t want this in the forum itself but I could add the blog addon and allow usergroup to make new blogs. One concern I have is that these would be spammy post, so there would have to be some type of moderation que to get blog post approved. It’s easy to make a blog post and pimp out a few clickbank products; you can add image, video and full WYSIWYG editors. (Here is my the blog script on my other site) I wouldn’t have a problem promoting the user blogs, I have a few new tools that makes building links a piece of cake. What would be the pro’s and con’s from your perspective of adding blogs to Admin Talk to allow affiliate post?
I have always thought this is a good idea, but I have never seen much return on it to be honest. I have tried affiliate marketing before through blogs and various other deals. I never could make any money off of it. I mean yeah its greats for SEO if you are link building, but I dunno money making never figured it out. Now if you have made tons doing this I would be highly interested in how?? LOL But, I do think it is a good idea for members. It allows another way to bring activity and such. Plus, it is always good to give something back to the members. You can not have a site without them
I can tell you there are people that make a TON of money off affiliate marketing, making in a month what I make in a year working for the state. I just read over an article the other day that I was showing to my girlfriend, trying to get her into it, and it outlined some of the key format suggestions most affiliate marketers use. I'll try to find it again and send it this way.
I would be interested in said article . I have failed epicly trying to do this in the past. Though, I do have a couple tools I made for this like a url shortner bot and such.. If anyone would be interested
This is the article I found while searching for a way to pick the top preforming clickbank products. http://sixfigureclicks.com/affiliate-marketing/clickbank/analysis-of-top-10-clickbank-products/ The guy reviews ten top selling CB affiliates and what they have in comment and differences. huh
Thanks for the article And I have a bot that you put a long url into and it shortens it.. I used it for affiliate marketing as most of the affiliate links are hugely long and ugly. So say if you were trying to like post them seomwwhere else and what not.. Just tools like that I made myself..I was on a took kick for a bit.. I have some unfinished SEO programs I made too lol.. So many unfinished projects
Honestly, I think two things could happen with member blogs on a forum... 1, they will not be used much and it will be an inactive feature meaning more inactive pages when a search engine indexes your forum or 2, they will be used more than your forum and you forum itself will suffer from inactivity. I do think a blog feature can be used successfully on a forum without many negative impacts, however, I think it is better to implement such a feature when the forum is considered a "big board" with a crap load of activity where if you get members who just use the blog, it wont really matter on inactivity on the forum itself. That is what I see at least
