I was surprised there was no real thread on affiliate marketing here?!?
Affiliate marketing in it's simplest terms is getting paid to see other peoples stuff.

I've made a good deal of money off affiliate marketing and I intend to continue to make money

I just setup a new amazon shop blog last night that is already showing favorable results.

Have you ever sold an affiliate product or gotten paid for sales?
Some of the top companies are...

    ebay
    amazon
    clickbank &
    commission junction

I've also done great with niche sales like selling vbseo, vbulletin and ip.board.

You have to post a little tutorial about them Amazon shops. ;) I haven't played with them in a good 3 years back then there was specialized scripts to do that - I don't know what the norms are anymore.

Anywho to answer your question; Yes, I do okay with affilate sales on my board. I'm lazy and just throw Viglink in the footer. I let them handle all the leg work and collect a few bucks off of links my members are linking to anyway.

I also run Viglink on my blogs, when I actually post to them I can do pretty good.

I use amazon, but haven't had success with any other affiliate programs.

Do you have a site setup just for your amazon sales or do you add code to your site and it picks up any links posted. Like we use viglinks.com for that here on this forum and my other one.

I just set up a shop on one of my sites but it hasn't been up long enough to see if it is effective. I use their affiliate sale banners, and have an auto embed feature on my xenforo forum that I customized to change to my referal code anytime anyone ever posts an amazon link. So any time someone posts one it pulls up the product image and price too which is cool. I also utilize the post to twitter and facebook tools on amazon affiliates which make it look like you are just posting a product you thought was cool and doesn't look like an ad. I have had GREAT success with this, especially posting relevant products to my facebook pages.

    That's great!
Can I see a link to your shop?
I recently set one up and could use some pointers :)
Also is that a mod from xenforo, the auto embed or is there a thread explaining how to make the changes you made?

    Thanks
