The year end update thread for Admin Talk

Nope and it'll only get stronger especially in the next 2 months.
I'm going to work on the newsletter this weekend and I'm shooting to send it out the 4th or first thing Wednesday morning (the 5th).

 

That's good. The newsletter should bring a few people back. When was the last time you sent one out? When you bought the site right?

 

I've never sent one out.
I sent a mass email out when I purchased those 2 admin sites, but this will look much better and will get us better results.

 

Hopefully a lot of old members come back so we can have an even better, bigger year.

Thanks, I had a comment on Twitter that it was only "fluff"..lol
They thought I nailed the look but the content needed work. We'll improve for the next one.

I see that as of this message, 70 emails have been opened with a majority of them unopened according to mailchimp.
This is a bit of a test for me, I've used constant contact several times for newsletters but this is the first time with mailchimp.
I'm happy with it so far

 

I think this thread needs locking, and then make a new year thread.

 

lol.. That's not a bad idea but not sure how long till I make a new one so we'll just keep this open for at least a few more weeks.

I know a few members have been talking to me about how buggy the style was from the moment I took over.
I'm looking forward to the update.

 

I see our search terms are starting to pick up in the "admin" group.
We've always ranked real well for a few of our photoshop threads but I've been working on getting us ranked better for a few top admin keywords..

ps I see we're on the first page of yahoo.com for the word admin



We have a ton of lower searched keywords relating to admin forums, but these are the top searches this week according to www.hittail.com (btw check out hittail, a great resource)

 

Ya, you can tell the new links are working. The users online has been getting higher lately.

 

I see we now have sitelinks which is really amazing since the URL is only 3 months old..
