Is there such a thing as having too much content?

So, I was thinking about this topic the other day, and was curious as to what others think. Do you think there's such a thing as having too much content? Or can you never have too much content because forums forever need new content in order to succeed and flourish?

What do you guys think?

 

There's such a thing as having too many threads with too little posts but you can never have enough activity.

I think having too much could be annoying, say if there was a forum gaining 3million posts a day as it would get annoying for some people as when they post there would be hundreds more and your post could look weird and out of place. But no forum gains that much :o

So, I don't think you can have too much.

 

I have no idea how anyone can follow a forum that does 3 million posts a day, that's crazy.
