Good luck with this community. How long has it been opened? Also, what made you want to create a promotion forum?

 

I actually recently purchased this forum and it was known as Promotion Den and I turned it into my own PromotionBB so I am unsure on the exact amount of time it has been open.
As for why I wanted to create one well It's simple really, it ties in well with the admin community I own being one for promoting and one for the more intelligent discussion and also I know how hard it is getting a forum going, so helping people out by continuing this forum and offering services does my bit to try and help out the new administrators. It may be an over saturated niche but I am happy to keep it going and put the time in to really help some people.

The skin came with the forum when I bought it and I have had a lot of positive feedback on it. If I do not get a custom theme designed I may stick with it and just a few parts of it to give a more original feel.

 

@karoshio Cool story. How much did you purchase the forum for? How much has it grown since you purchased it?

 

I don't feel right saying the purchase price publicly. As for it's growth, quite a bit actually. There has been around 15 new members so far which I am actually quite happy with as it was quite in active upon purchase but it's picking up and some old members have came back as well as the new. I have updated the services, added more variety and I have some custom plugins on the way to improve our services. So overall I think it is doing really well.
