I'm sure this will be a great feature, although personally, I have steered clear of apps such as these ones due to hearing about many different bugs within them, including some related to security issues and the developers have not really wanted to know about them

 

I've been using this app in my forums for a couple years with zero issues. I think if we stay with the latest & greatest, we'll be ok.

 

hmm OK then, I might have been misinformed then about these "issues" then...

I'm not interested in opening this site or my other one to hackers.

Thanks I'll look them over but I still say if we stay current, we should be okay.
I'll tighten down the general security of the site once I get it on my box as well.

 

staying current is always best that is unless they suddenly ask for lotsa $$$ then you stay current with something else

I see the iPhone app has been updated with better push notification. I'll have to see if the plugin needs updated.

 

Would definitely be nice. I have push notifications enabled for tapatalk, but have never actually received on alert in around 8 months of using it

 

same here, I thought it was a setting before but I've never gotten a notification

I'll check to see if we need to update the plugin here, or maybe a setting in the app itself?

 

There's a new iphone app version, so I'll see if that makes any difference, but afiak it's always been meant to receive push notifications.

Also, I don't think it's a setting in the plugin, I use the app for 4-5 forums and never get notifications for any.
