View attachment ai56.tinypic.com_2qt95km.jpg I designed this for a friend. I got the picture from a free source and then just gimped the text.
Being honest, it's not that good. You simply added text and used an image? You need to do more, make it look better, like some fancy text maybe a background what will match?
I like the background, but the text looks a bit basic as even I could achieve something like that using MS Paint and I can't even make graphics...
Its basic, hopefully you will improve; logos try not too have backgrounds but save it as PNG and make it transparent.
that is your personal opinion, maybe the OP either does not like using photoshop or has the money to buy it...
Well everybody has Youtube and a Keyboard. It is many people's opinion in which I think is correct. I used GIMP before Photoshop, in all fairness, it sucks. Many people use GIMP because many don't know how to search "How to get Photoshop CS5 free" on youtube. Again, I have an idea of what I'm talking about.
We don't support piracy here, and maybe the OP doesn't either, if you have nothing constructive to say about the graphics posted in the first post, then please don't bother saying anything. Thanks
Who said anything about supporting it... I just referred to youtube and the uses it has. Don't think that was constructive either... You want constructive? When you use a abstract background, hold shift when you resize it, other wise, you'll have a distorted, warped image. Also, logo's are usually transparent and just have text and a logo. This would be more categorized as a banner. I see some type of layer style to the left, you probably messed around with inner glow or bevel. If you used photoshop, you would have probably created something better because photoshop has tons of tools, presets and such that Gimp simply doesn't not have. So again, you have a keyboard and youtube, use it. @Ashley.S., was that constructive enough? Nuff.
Oops, sorry about that. Gimp is good, ive used it for simple things, but even then i used photoshop as well.
