I have a few hosts I've been looking at for a VPS, and I was wondering if any of you had heard anything about any of them. Here's the list. http://www.dmehosting.com/index.php http://www.fehosting.com/index.html http://urpad.net/ http://www.flipperhost.com/en/index.php If you have any suggestions for basic VPSs ($6-$8) with good disk space/bandwidth let me know.
Never heard of any of them TBH. I've never been in the market to buy a VPS though. May I ask why you're looking at one exactly? I see a lot of people purchasing them when they could easily get away with decent shared hosting.
Well, there's two reasons. First, I want to get to know my way around a server so I can help others with it and just have the knowledge. The second is that I have 3 site ideas in my head, and I would rather host them all on one server rather than multiple hosting accounts.

I haven't heard of them but that doesnt mean they are good or reliable. Your best choice is to search for review on them. Like Ashley said you can also try WebHostingTalk.
That was one of the ones I was looking at. They have great plans. I'll probably go with them. Why do you want me to contact you if I do?
DirectSpace have a lot of bad reviews about them at WHT, so much so, I'd avoid them like a barge pole...
