Ever converted from one forum software to another?

The only conversion I've done is vBulletin 3.8.x - phpBB 3.0.x

I never converted myself but I helped my friend convert his vBulletin forum to IPB.

It was rather smooth, a bit confusing at first, but I got the hang of it. I don't think I had to reset my password, but it did bugger up the user ids though, so I'm #46 so when upgrades are run, an ex member is reported to have done them...

I have done many conversions in local to test them out and learn how to do it properly. The only Live conversion i have done is Vbulletin 4 to XenForo

 

I remember that, it did screw up a few accounts though, it did that too mine.

 

when it does the admin logs it says this usually: ex member | 123.456.789.101 | updated to xxx rather than: Ashley.S. | 123.456.789.101 | updated to xxx due to my user ID not being the default one of #2

 

Oh I see. None of the converters are perfect. Wish they were

 

yea tell me about it, still the main thing is that it actually works and does exactly what it says on the tin
