Do you allow username changes for your members?

If a member wants to change their username I will happily change it for them. I will allow one username change for every 4 months which I think is fair. I know some forums where they charge for username changes and I find that very selfish and cheap. Do you allow username changes for your members?

Yep i think everyone should be allowed to change there username. The 4 months thing is a nice idea since they cant keep changing :P

Yea its a fair rule I believe. Because you dont want someone changing thier name every week :P (I have seen some actually doing this) lol.

On my provider, there is an option that asks "Allow users to change username" I set that to no. However, I will accept PM's on my forum asking for name changes.

Only by request, I don't enable the Username change permission due to it easily being abused, etc.

Yea same here, I wouldn't go as far as allowing them to change it on their own because it will obviously be abused, so I have members PM me instead which is the right thing to do.

Yea I will allow it. They have to PM me though, I find it unfair for the forums that charge for something very small as changing a username..

Yea its pretty cheap, its the type of forums where the admin tries to make money out of everything, and doesnt care much for the community.

On admin/promotion type forums I don't mind too much but on RDF it's a football forum so unless it is an extreme reason we do not allow
