Forum Of The Month here on AdminBB?

Do you guys think we should from now on have FOTM (Forum Of The Month) competitions here on AdminBB? Where members can submit there own forums, and members can vote on which forum they like the most. The winner will get a free advertisement for 1 whole month as their prize.

 

I say go for it. It's a great way to get forum owners active, and such.

 

Yea I will be adding it, just still taking ideas and suggestions.

 

Loads of forums have this feautre, so it would help, yes.
However, I never really bother with these kinds of contests. Tried once or twice, it got pretty boring. Plus, you lose track.
Perhaps a twist should be added?

 

I always see a Forum of the month; but what about Site of the month?

and it seems to be a great idea although used everywhere.

 

I see what you are saying, but just letting you know a forum is a site. So if we called it Website of the month then its would allow all types of sites such as forums, blogs, etc. I may call it that. Dont know yet though.

 

I like the idea of it being website of the month, as I don't see the point in having 3 separate competitions or just focusing on one, being that we are a webmaster forum that caters for all

So blogs are in, then? I like that idea. I'm more comfortable with blogs anyway. What would the criteria for the 'sites' submitted to the contest be? Would there be some kind of content requirement. Obviously, the site would have to be populated with content. But, I mean would there be a specific type of content you would be looking for? Or, could any blogger or site owner apply regardless of content?

 

Regardless of content, just they would need to meet a required postcount to enter their website.

Yes it would. I am just so busy right now, always have so many things to do at once as I am going add a directory.

 

That would be another great addition, I'll be looking forward to that.

 

That's good to know. I always strive to post quality content where ever I go and that's even more true on my own sites. I'll keep checking back for 'forum or site of the month' contest details.

 

A forum of the month would be great maybe have their site on the front page for the winner.
