I got sick of bumping into the same people and posting the same old stuff over and over again. I'm more of a tech admin these days than a posting admin
I guess I simply enjoy meeting new people and participating in stimulating discussions. Although I gotta side with Ash on one thing: It can get kind of old to be running into the same members and posting the same things all the time. But I enjoy foruming in general for the social interaction end of things.
I also enjoy sharing ideas with others, and getting to know people. I also enjoy reading things, and discussing things with my members, or other members.
Same here carlos, meeting and making new friends online and sharing ideas and knowledge is a reason I like forums. They keep you busy.
It's quite a lot of fun to have a 'job' and to meet a ton of people, basically creating your own internet social circle, all within the space of an awesome forum with great software.
I agree. I've been a huge fan of online communities since 2004 - its great to find new people, and also learn new things. Forum running is great, especially if you become a part of a great community, and meet all the nice/friendly people.
Forums have always fascinated me and I have made a number of friends online that I can talk to over instant messengers. I also have forums to thank for helping me to develop an interest and develop my skills in graphic and web design. It has always been a convenience to be able to view tutorials, communicate with others who have the same interests and ask for support when required.
