Anyone still use MySpace?

Just curious does anyone still use MySpace? Last time I logged into MySpace was 3 years ago. Facebook FTW

 

I don't use myspace anymore. You know its for sale right? I use mocospace instead.

I remember when myspace fansites were making a lot of money, did you ever run a myspace site?

Shock of your life coming: YES, I did actually use MySpace for about a year I think, both for personal and promotional reasons, they were both removed when I decided to close my personal MySpace account in 2008 and move over to Facebook (I think)

 

Ya, that's when a lot of people moved to facebook, in 2008. Did you make a lot of money through myspace?

 

I have used myspace before, but I use facebook now because Facebook is just an easier concept

 

Sadly I did not at the time, as I was not really interested in making money, I just enjoyed talking to friends on-line.

 

I used MySpace for about 3 months and I quit.

 

why did you quit using it?

 

Because it's boring and most of my friends use Facebook -.-

 

I only know 5 of my friends who still use MySpace, and the rest left it in the ditch

 

A few years back, I used Myspace to link to my (then) blogs and forums, but got tired of their linking practices. Myspace wouldn't just let a reader click a link and leave their site, before flashing up one of those annoying, 'Warning!' pages that had dire predictions of what evil things could lurk on the next page. Talk about a mood killer! How can you soften someone up to like your blog or forum when they have just been warned you mean them harm? So, I dumped Myspace.

I have used Mylot (profile page) successfully to get traffic to some of my sites. Their profile page is surprisingly search engine friendly and offers extensive HTML (but not script) customization.

I'm still in the process of finding a way to integrate my use of Facebook in a professional manner that will benefit my online activities. Same goes for Twitter.

 

Yea I can see why, I haven't used MySpace but it does sound pretty bad having that.. and about Twitter, I would always recommend it to anyone, its a great tool for promotion.
