Thanks :) I've already seen a healthy increase in activity, I have some rather enthusiastic staff I hired recently, and Postloopers have been staying beyond when I lost points. It's getting there, slowly ;)

Yea I find there prices kinda silly cheap.
But I wont go with them again there far to formal.
I had an account with them years ago but forgot the email, password etc etc on the account, didn't owe them any money but because I had an old existing account that I couldn't close down as I had no access to the information they required (old email address etc) they wouldn't let me open a new account.
Stupid really they said it was because of there policies which in my opinion is screwed up they were turning down business because of some stupid formality.

well that a good thing then, as it stopped you from buying hosting from them.. hostgator is not worth it.

What hosting company did you end up switching to?

I used to use hostgator for everything. I'm a long term fan and have been a customer with them for a long time. I've never had any issues and I've always had a good technical support user (Request Steve Jones). As far as the usage is concerned I've had an email when I was using too much but I have had a few things turned off from usage also.

Thats why its not worth it, if they turn off some important things that are needed to run a forum then you are doomed. I have never heard of hosts doing that except for hostgator.

I've had a fair amount of hosts do that to me and many of my friends. I've seen instances where hosts have deleted the scripts entirely and not provide a backup.
