Bebo

How many of you still use bebo? Or still remember when it was like the #1 social site.

I can remember everyone at my school using it and always asking people to add them.

 

I never used it, and dont know any of my friends that use it either. Is it more similar to facebook or twitter?

I used to use it, but I've since moved onto the Facebook trail and left Bebo behind

 

Yea I havent heard much of "Bebo" was it once very thriving, and it died or something?

 

like MySpace, it probably died after the launch of Facebook

 

Yea.. I remember when all my friends and everyone started to get a Facebook and leave MySpace.

 

Actually, I think AOL bought Bebo, just to have their own social networking site after they shut down AOL Hometown. Back then, it was more popular to have a blog or personal site. Then Facebook came along and all that changed. After Facebook, everyone wanted to hang out together online sharing things. Facebook introduced the concept of the shared online world. And, Bebo seeks to give AOL users much the same experience.
