Sometimes when I hear about a new forum - I usually join up, post a few threads, and then I'll come back to the community to see how's it doing, sometimes the owner gets bored and my efforts are worthless, but I love helping out - so I do. Are you just like me? Do you love to join new forums?
Yes, I do join new forums, but I dont post around much until I see the forum is active. I learned my lesson. I would join every single new forum, and post around alot to help out the owner, but then I see the forums would eventually close so now I just wait for the forum to get a little active and if I think the owner is doing a good job then I help out a bit.
Ya, some people are only motivated for the first week or so, then they lose interest quick - but I love to help out, so if I see a new forum that has a good design, good owner, then I'll be more active than a new one.
Yea im not going to even lie, Design and content are both equal to me, so if a forum has a ugly layout but good content, im not joining, it has to be perfect for me.
I do enjoy joining the occasional new forum just to see how the staff manages it. Ive always learned neat tricks when watching people start up their new forum. I also join new forums if I think they are gonna do well; I also contribute to help them grow a bit because I know how hard it can be to start a new forum.
Same here. A Forum may look like it might have potential, but just because you join and get active doesn't guarantee that it'll remain open. I usually like to wait and check out a forum's progress a few months down the road before deciding to join. Sometimes I'll join right away but not always, though.
