Best thing for a paid forum that isn't a admin forum is ads. Ads, Ads, and more ads. Get them posted every where. That and doing promotion on promotion forums.

Ok I signed up with postloop, however, my inexperienced self does not understand this whole uploading the postloop.php file.

If you will please forgive my noob-ness... I have downloaded what I believe to be the right php file. it is a text file with a bunch of code, but I do not know exactly where to put this code.

Sorry if I seem a bit dumb in this whole arena.

 

Just upload it to your forum's directory so for example if you your forum is located at yoursite.com/forum then you upload the .php to yoursite.com/forum/postloop.php
Then you are all set and you can start posting and get your points up. You will get the hang of it. Not very hard.

Is marketing the best choice?

 

I tried running an ad on Facebook for my Childhood Cancer Forums site. I got over 1000 people to say they "liked" the ad. However, NOT one single individual joined the actual website. Frustrating to say the least....

I have yet to really go after twitter. I am not even sure how to do that.

 

You need someone to come over and post? Let me know which site I will try to visit and post a little for your support! @ Craig

 

You should also try Google Ad-words. I never preferred FB as a place to advertise.

 

Adwords worked a treat for PH whilst it was running
