XenForo Vs. vBulletin Vs. IPB (Paid Software)

Which one did you vote for, and why?

 

You already know what i voted for and i will sum up why i chose it in two words "the future"

 

Very true! Cant go wrong with xenforo.

 

While I love xenForo, my vote goes to IPB. Great support, more functionality, full suite available, etc. However, the future for xenForo looks bright, I'm very happy as a customer of both companies.

 

Yes, both are very great companies. By the way, the IPB and Xenforo are friends, if you didnt know that. IPB's founder Matt Mecham and Kier are friendly with each other, and Matt is a member at the xenforo forums. They like friendly competition, not what vbulletin does.

 

I learned about that recently. I'm really happy about it. Friendly rivalry is better than dirty competition. xF has been innovating IPB and IPB has had a similar effect.

 

Yea if you read the ipb blog, they will be adding a notifications system, which xenforo has.

 

Is it possible if I could vote for both IPB and Xenforo in the poll? lol

As of this post, XenForo, but we should rethink our decisions depending on how good IPB 3.2 is, which I have high expectations for.

 

Im always xenforo, but its normal for you to choose between them as you have a license for both.

 

Well, actually, I sold my IPB not too long ago cause I really wouldn't find a good use for it.

 

Oh okay, but yea I am interested to see what 3.2 offers.

 

You honestly can't go wrong with IPB or XF. I chose IPB naturally because I am using IPB, but I have no issue with XF at all.

I'm quite interested as well. It is going to be a very modern software with a modern look, from looking at the updates on the IPS site.
