MyBB is one of my fav's

I have tried several systems but for now myBB is my fav works well is fast and plugins to mode the forums is a much better idea than moding loads of code like others.

 

When my gaming for was still around I used MyBB on it, its the best free forum software, and xenForo is the best paid one in my opinion.

 

I love mybb, though with smf i love the plugins how they download and install like wordpress i guess, i dont own a forum at the moment but if i did i would buy xenforo which i will do in the future, mybb is fun .

 

Yea I bought my license for $140, its worth it.

It was $100 before? Because I bought mine for $140 I guess prices are going to be raised before the gold version comes out. Better to get it now.

 

Nope they were $100 when it was released 24 hour offer but now its going to be $140 for ever, though your year starts when version 1 comes out of BETA.

 

Yes I know thats another reason why I bought it early.

 

I think http://fudforum.org/forum is pretty good , im sure with some modding it will do well.

OOoo really. I only thought mybb was around for a year or so considering there on version 1.6 :s.

Haha yea, the version number dosent mean how long they have been around for example instead of going straight from 1.0 to 2.0 most go to 1.2 etc.

 

And FudForums been out since 2001 Mybb's was made in 2002 (first release was in 2003).

Well considering SMF is easily hackable (Something about picture running as a php, Meh)

I would never use anything else other than Mybb, I've used it since 1.4.5 or around there and still loving it.

First time I used mybb I hated it now 1.4 was released ages ago it was excellent and also 1.6 is amazing I want to see if 1.8 is going to be better.

Xenforo is good, aint used it so, Ill say vBulletin is best paid one, since I only used that paid one.

 

vBulletins going down, And fast. Also, the next major release is gonna be 2.0 So 1.8 might be a minor release like security or maintenance.
