Awww, the one thing I would have asked him about was the lawsuit. I would love to hear his take on what happened.

I really like how this interview turned out, we have a few more in the works as well, we're going to make this a great resource for admin/webmaster interviews.

We took questions for a few weeks in the contributors section :P

Nice interview... you forgot to ask Shawn about his MySQL Clustering plans now that new hardware /cpus are out making his old hardware choices out dated :D

I'm sure I could send him some follow up questions :)
If so, they can be added to the first post.

I wonder if he would answer any follow ups about Amazon, Ebay, him being arrested and the 20 million total that they claimed him and his partner profited on cookie stuffing back in 06 and 07.. I think he made like a blog about it somewhere stating his opinions and such, but I cant find the link.. But I would really love to know how much did he make in total and how much he got to keep since he is obviously not in jail...

Here is a good read if you all dont know about it.. And ahh here is his reply

Though still would love to know his take on it all now

This is a good interview, since I have been talking trash a lot about digitalpoint lately because of all the spam. I was really interested in reading this interview, and Shawn knows what he is doing. So that keeps the forums active, and money in his pocket. I would never let my forum get spammy like that, even though I understand when it get's so big it's harder to prevent it, but then it may be time to start paying your staff to keep the forums clean. Moderators that work for free aren't going to dedicate long hours.

Lol... I just signed up here because I needed a break... and there's a site-wide notice about me. I saw my name and was like, "WTF, I didn't put my name in when I signed up... how could they be using it as a variable?" lol

Thanks... although I'd say "great" is certainly debatable... More like a never ending cycle of trying to make things better... because it's never good enough. lol

A sneak peak of my running list of stuff I'm actually working on (or worked on recently)... haha
The full list is about 4x longer. :)

I actually received an infraction for my first post there ever, primarily because his site is so big and I didn't see there was another related forum/category.

To be honest I'm really surprised that no one (with an admin type forum) hasn't done an interview with Shawn sooner.
Really nice snag Brandon and an awesome edition to your Webmaster Interviews!
