Just got approved for an account. I plan on running it on a couple of small blogs and maybe showing ads to guests on my DJ board.

Anyone have any positive or negative experience with Chitika?

I've yet to try them, so I'm looking forward to hearing about how they treat your sites, and if its a good service.

Just setup Chitika ads to guests on the DJ board. We'll see what happens. So far on the blog I've made .02. Don't want to spend all that in one place.

Good think you asked as I haven't looked. This is showing ads after first post to guest on my DJ board and running on a low traffic blog.

The trouble is most of the ads are low quality "chat with singles in your area" totally unrelated to my topic matter another ad I see more commonly is yellowpages.com with just a a keyword stuffed in.

The impressions are way off my stats so 4 or 5 times as many.

I just pulled the ads from my DJ board the earnings are pitiful.

@Dan Hutter Those earnings are ridiculous. They remind me of when I was tested out Kontera on my boards, I wasn't making much.

Agreed. Viglink makes a helluva lot more and it's not even upsetting user interaction.

I should try that for guests-only and see how much it can produce for me.

It's a global javascript in your footer. You can control whether or not it auto-links keywords or just automatically rewrites affilate links.

Brandon links keywords as you can see by Viglink being linked in this post and above. I only rewrite links on my forum but use keyword linking on blogs.

Thanks, when I implemented it before, a few members complained about it.

Tell 'em to cough up some money if they don't want you making a few bucks off naturally posted links. I really cannot see anyone having an issue with that. It's not like they're paying more for the linked product or service.

You could always wrap the footer code in a usergroup conditional to exclude certain user groups but I still think they're just being over sensitive.
