I saw this on another site, good luck with the contest. Is it going to be a one month contest, two or three? I've suggest three, it's what I've done in the past and for a prize like that, people should be interested enough. Also I'd suggest a 2nd and 3rd place prize otherwise if one person gets way in the lead, most everyone else will give up. cheers
I have two pretty good runner up prizes planning but I just have not confirmed all the details yet. I was honestly thinking around one month, for reasons I would like to run it for longer but at the same time I don't want it to go for so long that people will lose interest in it. Still a few things to work out over the next few days.
A couple, all for good reasons though. Example: I used to run PromotionBB but I really couldn't manage it with AdminPeak so I ripped away all the promotion stuff and merged all the admin stuff basically. Another that occurred was with ForumSource which was actually a friends forum that had been doing okay but started to die due to his lack of time so he let me merge it because it did not want what he had started to make to go to waste because he often did not stick with forum and had put a lot more effort into this one. That's about it really and I feel they are quite good reasons and I don't intend to do any further merges in the future unless something very relevent comes up somehow but I'm not looking for forums or anything like that. I'm happy to answer but may I ask why you wanted to know this? I was going to ask you earlier to provide posts/threads stats before[the contest started] and when it ends - that way other forum owners can know how well certain contests do[you should make a thread about it as well]

@karoshio How is the contest going so far? Did you end up just making it for one month, two or three?
I actually decided on 5 weeks. A month sounded good but I just went that tad further. I did not want to have it going for so long that people were discouraged but yeah. As for how it's going it's going alright at the moment although it's a bit up and down. The first 2 days were pretty crazy, the third still great but not as many and yeah it's been bouncing a bit like that. Still a ton of time left though.
