It's ATI something or other. I Really don't pay attention to what card and such as I don't game.

I just read that you have to send it back, what the hell?

Really not happy about it but these things happen. Seems like a bad mobo. Just shuts down under heavy load. No warning just BAM off. It happened one night I setup a large file copy to run overnight. Got up and the computer was off and I know I'd disabled all the power saving BS but thought perhaps the power went out overnight.

About a week later I tried to convert a video using Handbrake and it just turned off. Did some troubleshooting, tested all the RAM. No dice. When booted into BIOS it just turns off after about 3 minutes.

Funny thing is though I've been running it 3 hours now surfing around and it's running great. So, they're gonna have to replace the mobo. I really wish they'd just ship me the mobo, I've swapped out mobos before with no problems.

My netbook is too puny to really work on. So, it looks like I'll have to put my Mac Mini back in my bedroom for the time being. Urgh but at least I have a backup though so I cannot really complain.

I may just buy a cheap tower to use in the mean time and give it to mom when I get my tower back. Walmart has half way decent 4GB towers for $300-$400. I'd rather get a new laptop but I cannot touch a halfway decent laptop for under $600 and that's just out of my price range.
